Artist of the Day: Priscilla Mouritzen

I’ve got to tell you guys, I’m loving this! So nice to see and share such gorgeous work with you!

Here’s today’s pics brought to you from Priscilla Mouritzen who you may know from the Pinch Pots Blog. She’s a South-African-born ceramist, living in Denmark.

The first is of 5 pinched porcelain wood-fired bowls and the second of one pinched porcelain w-f bowl. All were exhibited at Galerie Besson, London in 2008.

Artist of the day: Monica Bodnar

In Monica’s words: My last batch of work has come from a book titled “the man who mistook his wife for a hat” by oliver sacks. It’s a bunch of animals with people paraphernalia.

As the snow still exists here I’m jealous of Monica living in North Florida…sigh, will i ever wear shorts again??? Please check out her blog and etsy shop for more.

Artist of the day: Kip O’Krongly

Here we go folks! April is Artist of the day month, enjoy and thanks to all those that submitted, I’m really looking forward to a month of visual inspiration. Yummy eye candy!!!

Our first artist is Kip O’Krongly.

You can find out more about Kip at www.kipokrongly.blogspot.com, or www.kipokrongly.com.

In Kip’s words:

I am a functional potter working primarily in low fire earthenware at the Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis, MN. I use graphic imagery to exlpore my interest in the intersection of food production, energy use and transportation issues. I am intrigued by the way utilitarian ceramics can spark conversation and serve as a medium for personal interaction and change. When I’m not in the studio, I love to bake and knit!

Thanks Kip!

oooh…just a little over a day before the “artist of the day” month begins… Are you excited? I am. It’s funny though, probably 90% of the emails I received said “oh i’m sure you’ve already got your 30 artists”…guess what? nope, not quite. Been thinking about it, but didn’t bother? Get on it!!! As I said I will keep posting until i run out of images, so send, send, send those images in! Other wise you’ll get stuck with day after day of images of my work, I hate to threaten you with that, but there you go!
Cheers!
