Artist of the Day: Nora Creahan
Nora is the only woman (Lucky girl!Show them how it’s done!) living and working at Cub Creek, a ceramics artist residency in Appomattox, VA. She says “They are all great guys but this ratio gave me the idea to make some feminine whisky bottles.”

Artist of the Day: Priscilla Mouritzen

Here’s today’s pics brought to you from Priscilla Mouritzen who you may know from the Pinch Pots Blog. She’s a South-African-born ceramist, living in Denmark.
The first is of 5 pinched porcelain wood-fired bowls and the second of one pinched porcelain w-f bowl. All were exhibited at Galerie Besson, London in 2008.

In Monica’s words: My last batch of work has come from a book titled “the man who mistook his wife for a hat” by oliver sacks. It’s a bunch of animals with people paraphernalia.

Opening on Friday 3 April “Little Un’s”. Ceramic works by three Queensland Potters, Mel Robson, Kenji Uranishi and Shannon Garson. The brief for this group show was ‘keep it small’and the artists were only too happy to oblige with a series of exquisite, but perfectly functional cups,jugs and vessels. On show until 24 April 2009.
