Sturt Workshop Mittagong
Sturt Craft Centre invites applications from experienced craft practitioners to the Sturt 2011 Artist – in – Residence program. Residencies occur in the disciplines of ceramics, jewellery, textiles, wood, photography and writing. Four to six residencies occur at Sturt each year. From late 2009, Sturt widened the focus of its residency program to encourage small scale production and individually designed work which will be promoted through Sturt Gallery.

The Anderson Ranch Artists’ Residency Program is designed to foster creative, intellectual and personal growth for emerging and established visual artists. There are no specific educational qualifications for entry into the program. Awards will be made to those, who in the exclusive opinion of the jury, have submitted the best work by the application deadline. Finalists are chosen on the basis of artistic merit by an independent jury of established working artists and will live and work at Anderson Ranch for approximately a ten week residency period. While in residence, all artists will share in an established community of interaction, conceptual development and intense production of work. Given the staffing and facilities available at the Ranch, its artist residency program will become one of the most robust programs of its type in the United States. Applications for both residency terms must be submitted via our online application by February 1 each year. To apply for the Fall 2010 (Approximate dates: October 12- December 20) and Spring 2011 (Approximate dates: February 1 – April 13) residency terms, applications must be submitted online by February 1, 2011. I’m sure you are all quite aware of the fantastic blog A Plate A Day that the lovely Mignon runs showcasing gorgeous ceramic work from all over the globe on a daily basis. Well she’s almost up to number 500 and is requesting submissions to be juried for the glamorous honor of being number 500! There is even a prize… seriously, get over there and enter.
Oh and by the way, it will be juried by none other than your lovely presenter of Musing MOI!
