from Thomas Strand on Vimeo. North Prairie Tileworks was started in 1992 to compliment the tile design and building needs of a Twin Cities high-end construction firm. The emphasis was on the Arts & Crafts designs with its rich history of handmade tile.
The Clunes Ceramic Award is open to all Australian ceramic artists
and all ceramic art forms are accepted, including mixed media works in
which the dominant medium
is ceramic.
Artworks submitted can be a single item or set.

Rebecca A. Grant received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in ceramics in
December 2010 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She
utilizes a wide range of skills from a variety of artistic disciplines
including drawing, painting, fiber arts, metal working, and sculptural
techniques. Numerous pieces of her functional pottery now reside in
private collections. Her current work consists mainly of figurative
sculptures created from ceramic and mixed media. She has twice been
accepted into the Sculpture on Campus Competition at SIUE, and received a
Provost Scholarship in spring 2010. She works primarily at her home
studio in Alton, Illinois, where she lives with her husband and two
dogs.
