Launching new e-journal on artaxis.org

artaxis.org announces the inauguration of an electronic Journal of criticism and theory at www.artaxis.org. The first issue will be reviewed by abstracts and the subsequently chosen will appear as full length articles in March 2009. The e-journal will be a thematic based journal published annually. Its articles will focus on art produced across the globe, from antiquity to the present/future.
The first edition seeks scholarly research, exhibition reviews, artist statements, or theoretical essays regarding kitsch and its re-emergence into the ceramic sphere.
Submit abstracts for the following:
-feature articles (1500-3000 words)-exhibition reviews (1000-3000 words)-artist statements (1000-2000 words)
Abstracts should be between 150-200 words and should include 3-5 representative images.Abstract submission should be sent as Microsoft Word documents or as pdf’s.

Deadline for Abstracts: November 15, 2008.
Notification by December 15, 2008.
Final copy deadline: February 5, 2009.
