The Korea Ceramic Foundation(KOCEF) will present the International Ceramix Competition with a new vision as the main event of the Gyeonggi International Ceramix Biennale 2011, which will be held for 30 days from September 24 to October 23, 2011. We look forward to full participation and support from ceramic artists from all over the world, established and emerging, who will lead the creative future of ceramics in the 21st century.

Categories for Entries
  • Ceramics for Use :
    Ceramic works that are applicable to everyday use that will contribute to artistic and industrial development of ceramics.
  • Ceramics as Expression :
    Pure formative art using diverse ceramic techniques and materials imbued with modern sense. In this category are ceramic sculptures, installations, and conceptual art, etc.
  • Traditional Folk Ceramics :
    Works that show ceramic traditions and unique cultures in different regions of the world, while making harmony and developing with modern aesthetic sense
Qualification
  • Open to ceramic artists the world over.
  • Works by individuals or by groups may be submitted.
    ※ Ceramic works mixed with other genres or that are collaborations with other genres may be submitted.
  • One person or group may submit up to three entries, regardless of categories.
Theme

There is no specific theme. Entrants are free to express their innovative and original ideas that will contribute to the development of the ceramic industry and ceramic art.

  • Submission of Actual Works for Final Selection : Korea) April 20 ~ April 27, 2011 / Overseas) April 20 ~ May 25, 2011
