DEADLINE FEBRUARY 09, 2016
Exhibition Dates: April 16 – June 12, 2016.
Building on the success
of over 30 previous clay exhibitions, FAC is pleased to announce the
official call to artists for our 2016 Mountain Standard Clay. This
exhibition replaces Foothills Art Center’s longstanding biennial
exhibition, Colorado Clay. Included in this exhibition will be artists
all who hail from the Mountain Standard Time Zone states. FAC’s goal is
to showcase clay in a way that goes well beyond functional objects and
into the realm of fine art with this exhibition. FAC has invited several
highly accomplished artists who are truly doing exciting and new things
with clay to participate in the exhibition. The invited artists
confirmed so far include Claire McArdle (CO) and Samuel Chung (MT). The
remaining objects will be selected by juror, Peter Held. Artists may
enter up to 3 objects, each to be judged for inclusion in the
exhibition.
