Sures trained as a painter and printmaker, honed his ceramics skills initially in London, England at Chelsea Pottery and studied the works of ceramic artists in the museums and galleries of Europe and the Middle East. “Shawn Spangler: Construction” will focus on the interface of design, functional ceramic forms and surfaces.
Participants should bring their sketchbooks, clay, tools and bats to throw and alter in the hands on portion of the workshop.
The workshop begins on Thursday, October 4 and runs through Friday, October 5, 2012.
The fee for the workshop is $50 per student guest and $100 for adult
