Craft NI is providing support for designer-makers living and working in Northern Ireland wishing to take part in Top Drawer Spring and Ceramic Art London.
If you are a professional craft business wishing to reach buyers, curators, interior designers and collectors to expand your business Craft NI will be coordinating a group presence of makers from Northern Ireland at the following events:

  • Top Drawer Spring/Summer – Earls Court, London: 16-18 January 2011
  • Ceramic Art London – Royal College of Art, London: 25-27 February 2011 (please note deadline for applying is the 6th September for this event)

Call for entry – 25th Annual International Juried Show

Entry Deadline: October 1, 2010
January 14–March 18, 2011

The 24th Annual International Juried Show is being presented at the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, January 15 to March 19, 2010. This critically acclaimed show is open to artists with eligible work in all media from the United States and around the globe. A distinguished member of the arts community is chosen as juror each year. Susan Kismaric, Curator, Department of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art will serve as this year’s juror.

Best In Show award: $1,000 cash prize and Lunch with Susan Kismaric, Curator at the Museum of Modern Art An artist’s opportunity of a lifetime!

Includes roundtrip travel and accommodations with one night hotel stay in Summit, New Jersey plus travel to meet and have lunch with the juror for the 24th International Juried Show, Susan Kismaric of the Museum of Modern Art

Call for entry – 2011 NICHE Student Awards

Student Entry Deadline: October 16, 2010
Professional Entry Deadline: August 31, 2010

The NICHE Awards program began in 1989 to celebrate excellence and innovation in American and Canadian fine craft. Artists are recognized in professional and student divisions.

NICHE magazine is now accepting applications for the 2011 NICHE Awards Student competition. Open to undergraduate or graduate students residing in Canada or the United States.

2011 NICHE Awards Professional Division is open to professional craft artists over the age of 21 residing in Canada or the United States.

Magic Dirt – Call for entry

Exhibition
Magic Dirt is the miracle of earth, fire and the human imagination. At the Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Galleries, Old Dominion University January 15 – February 20, 2011, reception, Friday, Jan, 21

This juried exhibition is designed to showcase innovative contemporary ceramic sculpture and functional vessels.

All applications are to be postmarked by November 10th. 2010
