Information The Port Hacking Potters group has been in existence for over 44 years. It is one of the longest running groups in NSW. The Port Hacking Potters meet on the first Wednesday of every month at upstairs Surf Lane Cronulla at 7.30pm. We have a demonstration from the pottery field and there is always discussion on an interesting topic. Every two years the Port Hacking Potters Group holds a national competition and exhibition. The three dimensional artists that form the Clay Feet group of ceramists will transform the Main Gallery space into a feast of surface, texture, pattern and form. With sculptural ceramics by eight emerging and established female artists; Jillian Archibald, Elaine Bradley, Sascha Durack, Belinda Johnson, Pauline Mann, Narda McMahon, Gillian Treichel and Andrea Vinkovic.

Ceramics Victoria is pleased to announce a lineup of 7 National Ceramic Artists at the Festival including Paul Aburrow, Julie Bartholomew, James Cattell. Maria Coyle, Janet De Boos, Merran Essen and Avital Sheffer.

Firing into the Future offers a full program of workshops and presentations- a chance to see the process and techniques of the 7 practicing Australian Artists whose work is highly sort after.

The Festival is a biennial event organised by Ceramics Victoria that provides a forum for interested collectors, students and practioners to get together, exchange ideas, network and learn. Tickets may be obtained by down loading from our website and participants are welcome to come for the day only.Student discount applies.

Call for expression of interst: Eveleigh Artisans Market Ceramics Showcase

On the first Sunday morning of the month from 10am – 3pm, Eveleigh Market hosts an Artisansʼ Market showcasing the best in Australian independent design, art and crafts under the heritage listed Blacksmith Workshop. The EAM is ideally situated opposite Carriageworks, the bold new art centre dedicated to the development and presentation of the contemporary arts. The Australian Ceramics Association (TACA) has booked 10 stalls on Sunday 7 November 2010; 10am – 3pm. Expressions of interest welcome. The Australian Ceramics Association (TACA) has booked 10 stalls at Eveleigh Artisans Market (EAM) for 7 November 2010. Each stall has 3 tables and can cater for 3 people to display their work. TACA has also been asked to run demonstrations throughout the day. In return for giving a one hour demonstration, TACA is happy to give five demonstrators a free space on a stall. Demonstrators will need to bring all their own demonstrating equipment. We are aiming to display the work of 30 potters – 3 potters per stall (1 stall = 3 tables), 10 stalls.
Cost to participate: $30 per person, payable to TACA (do not send payment until notified)
Participation is open to members of TACA who hold Public and Product Liability Insurance. All participants must hold a current Public Liability Insurance Policy (preferably with TACA) to take part in the market. A Certificate of Currency must be supplied to TACA for every participant, at the time of payment for your space.
