Call for Submissions Cup: The Intimate Object XVII

Submission deadline: July 2, midnight Eastern
We are accepting submissions for Cup: The Intimate Object XVII, which we will host this fall. Each year this international exhibition brings together some of the most exciting handmade cups in contemporary ceramics. We welcome submissions by national and international artists in all stages of their careers, from current students and artists who are just emerging on the scene to those who are well established.
We require submissions to include exactly five outstanding cups that are the same ones you would send for the show if accepted. You can review all submission requirements and details under Gallery Submissions on our website. As usual it is free to submit cups for consideration for this exhibition.

Description: The Artists in Residence Program is at the heart of creativity at Medalta. Artists from all over the world come to Medalta for lengths of time from one month to a year to make in a community that validates risk and nurtures creativity. This self-directed residency is designed to serves artists at all stages of their careers. Students, emerging artists, and established artists are able to work together in our open, spacious, semi-private studios.

movie day: The Garden of Dreams: Porcelain Stories by Yuki Hayama

Ippodo Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of The Garden of Dreams: Porcelain Stories by Yuki Hayama, the artist’s second solo exhibition at the gallery. This show of over 20 works that blend the distinction between painting and ceramics will be available for online viewing starting December 3 and available for in person viewing in the spring of 2021.
