The NC Pottery Center Board and the auction committee would like to request a donation of your work for the 2011 annual fundraising auction. Your support is very important to help sustain the NCPC, which pays tribute to potters across our State. The NC Pottery Center works to promote North Carolina potters and to keep the public aware of the living traditions that continue in North Carolina. The NC Pottery Center’s mission is to not only represent the past, but to also let the public know about the ongoing tradition. Auction donations must be in hand by May 2nd, 2011 in order to be photographed and listed online. An inventory sheet to be delivered with your work is also enclosed. If you have questions or need assistance you may call Nicole at 336-873-8430 or e-mail at [email protected]. In the Fall of 2010 we initiated a capital campaign to help sustain the Center. We have also started conversation with East Carolina University to form a potential educational partnership, and are seeking funding for a Director and monthly expenses. As with all non-profits fundraising continues to be challenging but your donations and support will allow us to implement exciting possibilities and ensure continued success and viability of the North Carolina Pottery Center. We hope you will stand with us to keep this wonderful tribute to clay viable and ongoing by supporting our annual auction. Sincerely
Susan Greene Pam Owens

Check out the amazing list of ceramic artists that will be there on their website.
Lyons Wier Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of new sculptural work by artist Jan Huling and an entrance installation by ceramicist Sin-ying Ho at SOFA NEW YORK 2011.
Sin-ying Ho, a Chinese born ceramicist living in New York, has created an astonishing series of life-size porcelain vessels, EDEN, two of which will flank the entrance of SOFA New York. The artist refers to Eden as a pristine haven of natural beauty, a mythical place of bliss, delight and contentment – a harbor for reflection, meditation, and a safe haven from earthly delights.
