Greenwich House Pottery and Music Benefit Auction

Greenwich House Arts is hosting an online auction follow up to our 2012 Arts Benefit. The auction features unique, handcrafted ceramics from renowned artists as well as a variety of travel packages, gifts and other items.

All proceeds support Greenwich House Pottery and Music Programs.

In addition to supporting artists and in-house programs, this year’s auction earnings will help support our outreach efforts at Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing and Visual Arts, a title 1 school in Harlem. We are currently working together offering professional development for the teachers and supplying academic development as well as facility upgrades in the classroom.

Workshop with Heather Mae Erickson @ Lillstreet

Saturday, July 14, 2012 to Sunday, July 15, 2012
 
Heather
will talk with students about various design problems, concepts and
strategies for developing a project.   During the workshop she will make
handmade plaster models developed through sketches on paper as well as
using Rhino as a tool for designing and planning.  Heather Mae will show
working with plaster in its fully hardened state as well as all of the
stages in between.  She will also discuss plaster calculation and mixing
as well as slip casting.
The cost is $125 for the two day if they register by next Friday, June 15th and $175 if they register after that.
