Artists/professionals are selected once a year on the basis of applications. The selection is made by an appointed work group consisting of 3-6 professionals within the creative bransches. At selection, special attention is given to the applicants professional level and on the adequacy of the work in Fiskars Village. For the stipends, collaborative or Fiskars oriented work are prioritized. The next application deadline will be on September 15th 2011 (00:00 EET) for residency periods during 2012. If you have your CV/resumé and works samples published on your web site, you only need to fill out the form. The selected applicants will be notified by email only. Please check your spam inbox and this web site under “Artsist in Residence” if you have not received an email within a month of deadline. Artists do not pay any rent for the residence apartment with work space. However, a monthly maintainance fee is required from all artists for the complete period of residence. The fee covers maintainence and hosting costs. The fee should be payed at least two (2) months prior to the first day of the offered and confirmed residence period. If the maintainance fee is not transfered to the cooperative´s bank account in time, the residence period will be cancelled. Artists must finance their own travel to/from the village, her/his own food and other daily requirements, including working materials. It is our wish that the visitor donates an art piece or product to the AiR collection at the end of his/her residency. The selected stipend artist for January-March does not have to pay any maintanance fee. We offer 14 residency periods with lengths ranging from 3 months in the winter season to 1 month in the summer.

Clay Gallery presents Cups of Firs, a national juried cup exhibition which embraces a wide spectrum of cup forms both sculptural and utilitarian. Clay Gallery is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Requirements: • The Show is open to all artists who are residents of and working in the United States.
• All work is expected to be predominately made in clay.
• All work accepted must be available for sale during the exhibition.
• Each piece of work is limited to 15 pounds and must not exceed 30 inches in all dimensions.
• Work entered should not be so fragile that shipment or public display is potentially harmful to the work or the viewer.
• Work must be properly prepared and presented for display.
• Accepted work which differs significantly from the application will be disqualified. The next Indigenous Ceramic Art Award (ICAA) is scheduled for February – April 2012 and is held bi-annually. The ICAA was developed by Shepparton Art Gallery to support Indigenous ceramic artists and acknowledge the special industry of ceramic art practice. The awards encourage and stimulate excellence in this sphere, providing cultural exchange opportunities for Indigenous artists from around Australia and regional Victoria. This biennale award exhibition surveys current Indigenous ceramic art practise, demonstrates current developments in the field including contemporary and traditional works. An exciting public program of cultural activities also accompanies the exhibition and typically includes: ceramic workshops with artists, exhibition floor talks, ceramic workshops for children, and ceramic workshops for Indigenous men and women. Shepparton Art Gallery is a regional gallery with a unique focus. It collects Australian ceramics from the 19th and 20th century and its ceramic collection is one of the best in Australia. Shepparton Art Gallery’s collection of Australian and International ceramics now spans over 3000 works. Due to the Indigenous Ceramic Art Award the gallery now has a growing collection of contemporary Aboriginal ceramics. The Indigenous Ceramic Art Award is made possible with the generous support of The Sir Andrew and Lady Fairley Foundation, Margaret Lawrence Bequest, FRRR, S.J. 2nd International Ceramic Triennial UNICUM 2012 – Slovenia
15. May – 30. September 2012
The emphasis is on popularization as well as presentation of contemporary ceramics as an independent area in the field of artistic creation. Triennial is connection between international and Slovene space and it gives fresh insight into artistic ceramics. Its intention is to search through elementary artistic research in connection with contemporary though; the character of contemporaneity is given by individualism, development of personal artistic language and enriched by traditional influences of old technologies.
II. International Triennial of Ceramics Unicum 2012 contains competitive part and accompanying events and exhibitions.
