Are you a clay or glass student, looking for a way to show the world your work?
FUSION invites submissions from STUDENT artists for our Spotlight column that will feature one clay and one glass artist in the Spring issue of the FUSION magazine. Being selected for the featured Spotlight column is an opportunity to show your work in broader provincial, national and international audiences.
FUSION magazine is available in public libraries, schools, galleries and museums throughout Canada and the USA.
Applicants should be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution for ceramics or glass, or have graduated in the past year. Those previously selected for the Student or any other FUSION Featured Artist Column in last 36 months are ineligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted until 5PM, March 6, 2020.

We’re serving up an exhibition of small plates, not larger than 8 inches.
Juror: Kip O’Krongly
Invited Artists: Julia Galloway and Courtney Martin
- Open to residents of the US and Canada.
- $30 application fee for up to 2 individual plate entries
- Deadline to Apply: 2/20/20
- $200 Juror’s Choice Award!
- Acceptance Notification by early March
- Show will be online as well as in gallery April 1-30, 2020
- Plate shipped to gallery must be the same plate accepted from the application
- Artist is responsible for cost of shipping to and from the gallery
- Gallery will retain 40% commission for plates sold

Sandy Spring Museum, along with co-sponsors Judith Davis, Baltimore Clayworks, District Clay and Montgomery Potters, will honor the life and work of Malcolm Davis (1937 – 2011) with juried exhibition Inspired by Malcolm: A Passion for Shino. Artists are asked to include five images of at least three ceramic pieces, along with a brief artist’s statement that specifically addresses their use of Shino in the particular work submitted.
