We are an established national company who make thrown, slip cast, and pressed forms in our collection. We are seeking someone who would enjoy the challenge of a full-time position as a production assistant. Artists/professionals are selected once a year on the basis of applications. The selection is made by an appointed work group consisting of 3-6 professionals within the creative bransches. At selection, special attention is given to the applicants professional level and on the adequacy of the work in Fiskars Village. For the stipends, collaborative or Fiskars oriented work are prioritized. The next application deadline will be on September 15th 2011 (00:00 EET) for residency periods during 2012. If you have your CV/resumé and works samples published on your web site, you only need to fill out the form. The selected applicants will be notified by email only. Please check your spam inbox and this web site under “Artsist in Residence” if you have not received an email within a month of deadline. Artists do not pay any rent for the residence apartment with work space. However, a monthly maintainance fee is required from all artists for the complete period of residence. The fee covers maintainence and hosting costs. The fee should be payed at least two (2) months prior to the first day of the offered and confirmed residence period. If the maintainance fee is not transfered to the cooperative´s bank account in time, the residence period will be cancelled. Artists must finance their own travel to/from the village, her/his own food and other daily requirements, including working materials. It is our wish that the visitor donates an art piece or product to the AiR collection at the end of his/her residency. The selected stipend artist for January-March does not have to pay any maintanance fee. We offer 14 residency periods with lengths ranging from 3 months in the winter season to 1 month in the summer.

Clay Gallery presents Cups of Firs, a national juried cup exhibition which embraces a wide spectrum of cup forms both sculptural and utilitarian. Clay Gallery is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Requirements: • The Show is open to all artists who are residents of and working in the United States.
• All work is expected to be predominately made in clay.
• All work accepted must be available for sale during the exhibition.
• Each piece of work is limited to 15 pounds and must not exceed 30 inches in all dimensions.
• Work entered should not be so fragile that shipment or public display is potentially harmful to the work or the viewer.
• Work must be properly prepared and presented for display.
• Accepted work which differs significantly from the application will be disqualified.
