Lark Books seeks high-quality, one-of-a-kind images of ceramic vases to publish in a juried collection of works from around the world. We will consider both functional and decorative submissions as well as diverse designs, materials, and techniques ranging in style from traditional to modern. We accept high-quality transparencies, 35-mm slides, and high-resolution digital images. 500 Vases, to be released in the spring of 2010, aims to be an inspiring collection for beginning and professional ceramics workers, as well as collectors and enthusiasts. There is no entry fee.

2009 CALIFORNIA CLAY COMPETITION
The Artery, home of the Artists’ Cooperative of Davis, has sponsored the Competition since 1990 to give California ceramic artists an opportunity to display their work during the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Art. The competition is open to all living California artists. Works accepted must be for sale, available for the duration of the exhibit, and made within the last two years.

I’m completely thrilled to annouce the opening of the show Fins, Fur and Feathers at the Cinema Gallery in Urbana IL. Not only does yours truly have 2 pieces in the show, but some of my all time favorites are in the show as well. As an emerging artist I’m pretty excited to be showing with some artists I was referencing years ago in my thesis.
