ABOUT embolden
Embolden is an annual Festival challenging ageism and building respect for Elders. It provides unique opportunities for all community members, service providers and Elders to learn from each other about making cultural change happen. It recognises the capacity of Elders to co-design, co-produce and co-lead innovations. Other innovative features of Embolden include:
- Learning from each other – cross cultural respect
- Engaging approaches to learning eg: Market of Great Ideas, Fashion Parade
- Building momentum for real cultural change (nudge theory)
- Capacity building – resourcing community leaders
- Recognising Geriactivism – the role of Elders in creating social change
- Working towards a Gerontocracy – increased governance by Elders.
Embolden will leave you feeling inspired AND with the resources for change. Check out our Embolden2018 page by clicking the link here.
