The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) announces the call for entries for AWARD, inviting UK-based artists to submit proposals for this £10,000 prize and exhibition. AWARD is the headline exhibition in BCB, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019 and provides a platform for some of the UK’s most talented artists working in clay. The next BCB festival will take place in Stoke-on-Trent from 28 September to 10 November 2019.
Up to 10 artists will be selected for AWARD, each receiving a grant of £500 towards the realisation of their exhibition proposal. To mark the 10th year of the British Ceramics Biennial, the prize money for AWARD has been doubled to £10,000 and will be awarded to one artist during the run of the festival. There will also be an opportunity for the winner to be involved in both selection process for AWARD 2021 and the subsequent BCB 2021 exhibition programme.
