Today’s eye candy is a sad one as I’ve just received word that Janet Mansfield has passed away. A kind and generous spirit that I was blessed enough to meet in my travels. Her impact on our community will be long felt and her stunning artwork will inspire for generations to come.

I am so sorry to hear this. Janet Mansfield was a delight. I had the honour of going to her home in Australia in 2009 and if ever there was an inspiring ceramists it was her. She gave the global ceramics community so much.
Sad news indeed. Janet was a true ambassador, a kind, warm, generous person and a good friend. I shall miss her encouraging e-mails and hearing the news of her travels. Her saying was 'By helping the field, you help yourself and your own work' How true.
Funny, I can't find even one other mention of this on the Internet.
