There is a gorgeous album of new soda work by Kenyon Hansen doing the rounds on Facebook and I just had to share it here as well. Fantastic surfaces and forms all round.
Why oh why do such things pop up right before the holidays? My wish list for Father Christmas grows longer everyday.

Love, love, love, Kenyon's forms and surfaces…
Really great style! I met Kenyon when he was a resident at Steven Hill's Center Street Clay. What a great guy – very dedicated and unassuming. I bought one of his large plates that he had woodfired in Simon Levin's kiln. I still look at that plate to get inspiration whenever I throw plates as I love the way he did the rim – slightly overhung on the inside and the way he tooled the bottom – including an absolutely fabulous swirl – obviouslly done while still quite soft to get that effect. Now I can see that he has only become better with time.
