Duties and Responsibilities
|
|
This position will work closely with the museum’s director, senior curator and curator of ceramics with a contemporary studio craft collection and how it relates to the broader contemporary art context, and assist with research and development of a major traveling exhibition.
Development of strategic collection plan: Assist with the organization of pan-craft exhibition and attendant publication: Facilitate visiting artist lectures, workshops and residences: DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM |

Minimum Qualifications
|
|
Two years of general museum activities experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications
|
|
-Master’s of Art in the history of decorative arts, material culture studies, studio craft or art/craft history and/or theory.
-Enrolled in a doctoral or post-doctoral program in an accredited U.S. institution or abroad. -Previous curatorial experience in a museum preferred.
