So i realized looking back that I’ve completely mislabeled a bunch of posts as the same day, as the wrong day, as whatever. Oh well. It’s just goes to prove how busy and consumed I am with my work lately : )
So anyway – today saw the opening of our first soda firing. I’m going to share a couple pics of my work with you, but I should really be showing the work of Robin and Darlene who also had pieces in the kiln as theirs we’re quite a bit more successful. I’m not trying to be self deprecating. The result just really weren’t what i was hoping for and i would be willing to accept some of the surprises except for the bits of soft brick (we think) that seem to have landed in 90% of my pots. Sigh, I really was meant to be an electric kiln girl.
