The Call for Green Essays by NCECA Students open until October 1, 2009 Get Published in Ceramics Monthly! Have you observed a practice underway at your school or institution that allows ceramic art to become more environmentally friendly? What alternatives can you imagine to the old system? Have you generated or been witness to any creative solutions in studio? The NCECA Green Task Force is sponsoring a student writing contest. We are accepting submissions of student writing that focus on solutions to problems of sustainability, describing either practical solutions currently in action or innovative ideas that could be enacted to further align ceramic art with sustainable practice. Get Published in an upcoming issue of Ceramics Monthly! The NCECA Green Task Force will review the submissions and the winning essay will be published later this year in Ceramics Monthly. Entries to the student writing contest need to be between 500-1000 words in length. Make sure to give credit where credit is due to any individuals and institutions referenced in your article. Submit your entry online at: http://ceramicartsdaily.org/ceramics-monthly/short-writing-form/ Entries Due: October 1st, 2009 This is great opportunity to get published and share your knowledge and thoughts on green issues. Thanks for your contribution! Please contact Kristin Schimik, NCECA Green Task Force Student Representative, with any questions or comments at [email protected]
